Atto is the story of Gianmarco, Giovanni, Emanuele, and Gian Mario. In 2023, they founded Atto, wines in the making. Wines in the making because wine is something alive, constantly transforming, moving with the rhythms of nature and at the same time with human choices.
Lago Bianco
Lago Bianco is a Lazio Bianco IGT wine. It originates from an altitude of 450 meters above sea level. The terroir consists of fine dark sand, rich in dark ignimbrite and lapilli.
Lago Rosa
Lago Rosa is a Lazio Rosato IGT wine. The vineyard is located at 530 meters above sea level in the municipality of Gradoli, where we manage a small plot of land. Historically, this area has always been well-suited for the cultivation of Sangiovese.
Lake Bolsena has a terroir unique in the world. It is located at the heart of the Vulsino volcanic district, an area that experienced intense volcanic activity during the Pleistocene epoch (600,000-100,000 years ago), impacting five distinct areas with different geological ages: Paleobolsena, Bolsena-Orvieto, Latera, Montefiascone, and Neo-Bolsena.

Atto’s wine cellar is located in the basement of a building constructed at the beginning of the 20th century, in the central square of Montefiascone, overlooking the “fosso” area.
Decades ago, this area was home to several cellars where small winemakers and farmers produced and sold their wines in the typical fiaschi (flasks), immortalized in vintage photos that occasionally appear on the walls of old bars in the area.

Merlini Portfolio Tasting

On Monday, Oct. 7, Atto also took the stage at the Basilica Theater in Rome for Merlini’s Portfolio Tasting. Joining us are 10 other winemakers on stage for a tasting dedicated to industry professionals. The event takes place from 2 to 4 p.m.
